Q: What ages do you see?
A: Any and all ages
Q: How do I get an appointment?
A: You will need to have a Special Smiles Center specific referral completed from your current general dentist to be seen, prior to scheduling. The referral is important, it helps us set up for the appointment properly with the information provided.
Q: What insurance do you take?
A: PPO’s and Medi-cal only. We do accept cash paying patients and have financial options available, if needed.
Q: Do you have sedation options?
A: Yes, options will be evaluated and discussed at the initial appointment.
Q: Is the first appointment a consultation only?
A: No, we understand how important it is to be as productive as possible at every appointment, as allowed by the patient. Our intentions are to complete as much as possible, from a cleaning to treatment.
Q: Can you treat patients with sensory disorder?
A: Yes, in addition to our large treatment rooms, we have a smaller, quieter treatment room designed specifically for patients with sensory or overstimulation needs.
Q: Can you see wheelchair bound patients?
A: Yes! All aspects of our office from the reception area to one of our oversized treatment rooms are designed to make sure patients who need to remain in their wheelchair and feel comfortable and welcome.

Dr. Navarro studied at A.T. Still University of Dentistry and Oral Health, where he was given an opportunity to do a dental rotation in the special needs clinic. At the time the special needs clinic was something very unique to A.T. Still University. Dr. Navarro’s love for serving the community and special populations continued to grow during the year he spent working in the clinic, while attending classes. Since graduating in 2008 he has continued to study and work with special populations.
